Passionate about comics, Sylvain Lemay is the founder of the very first university program dedicated to this art in Canada, in 1999, at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO). Tenured professor and director of the École multidisciplinaire de l'image (ÉMI) at UQO, he is the author of two comic books published by Mécanique générale, Pour en finir avec novembre (2010) and Rouge avril (2022). He also wrote Ce n'est pas la première fois que je meurs, published by Somme toute (2022).
