Richard Beaulieu, born in 1961, is a comic book artist, illustrator and painter. He's better known to underground comics fans as Richard Suicide, sometimes as William Parano, and lately as Richard Écrapou! He's part of the Montreal Comix Scene (one of the major comic strip movements in Quebec in the '90s). A newcomer to children's publishing, Richard Écrapou has illustrated Méchant Far West, tome 1, published by Monsieur Ed, Coeur de cowboy for la courte échelle, and L’attaque de la noirceur for Les 400 coups.
