About Nicolas F. Paquin
Born in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Nicolas F. Paquin lives in the Estrie region. His artistic work takes many forms: novels, essays, comic books, stage shows, monologues, and lectures. He has published a dozen books, including the children’s picture book L’étonnante maison de Madame Victoria (Éditions de la Bagnole, 2025), the novel Je t’écrirai encore, Éditions Mains libres (2024), and the essay Avant d’oublier : les Canadiens français à Dieppe, Hugo (2022). He has received grants from various arts councils on multiple occasions. He has received the King Charles III Coronation Medal, the Medal of the Municipality of Berneval-le-Grand, the CALQ Work of the Year Award, and the Philippe-Aubert-de-Gaspé Award. He devotes a significant portion of his work to the memory of men and women connected to World War II. Since 2017, he has developed a deep understanding of the life stories of those who fought at Dieppe in the uniform of the Fusiliers Mont-Royal.
