About Valérie Boivin
Valérie Boivin lives and works in Quebec City. After earning a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Laval University, she decided to focus her career on illustration. Her work has been published in numerous magazines. Her first illustrated book earned her the Illustration Jeunesse Award in the Emerging Artists category, presented by the Trois-Rivières Book Fair. She has since won the Booksellers’ Award for her book Le livre où la poule meurt à la fin, written by François Blais, with whom she has collaborated on two other children’s books. Rien de sérieux is her first foray into the world of comics.
