Laurie Agusti graduated from the Strasbourg School of Decorative Arts in 2012. She grew up in the Val d’Oise before moving to Lille. She has published acclaimed children’s picture books with Albin Michel Jeunesse (La ronde des singes, 2019; L’Immeuble d’à côté, 2021), Biscoto (Le beau Chat, 2022), La Partie (Un matin – with Jérôme Dubois, 2022, winner of a Bologna Ragazzi Award – Comics; Peur du soir, 2024). For the purposes of her books, Laurie Agusti has developed her own working technique, perfecting the washing of gouaches to achieve a unique light, striking in its clarity and precision.
