Xavier Cadieux is a Montreal-based artist and comic book author. He began his career in 2010 on the blog Mon Gros Lit Chaud, where he published a daily comic strip over a period of three years; the best of these were eventually collected in a book of the same name. In 2015, he published his first comic book, the now cult classic Les 500 premiers Cadieux. Several successful collaborations in the comic book world followed. First with Alexandre Fontaine Rousseau at Pow Pow Editions with La Pitoune et la Poutine and Les Canots de Satan, transgressive reinterpretations of Quebec folklore. Then with Charles Beauchesne of the podcast Les Pires Moments de L’Histoire, which he adapted into a comic book for Front Froid Editions. Finally, he publishes monthly in Curium magazine the adventures of Les Autres, a series for teenagers created and written by Iris Boudreau.
