About Pascal Sauvineau

Pascal Sauvineau

Artist

Canada

Sci-Fi

Teen, Adult

Born in Paris, France, and raised in Granby, Quebec. From childhood, Pascal was fascinated by the science fiction classics of the 1960s and 1970s, such as 2001: A Space Odyssey, Alien, and Star Wars. These works had a profound influence on his imagination and his creative path. In high school and CEGEP, he spent more time drawing in the margins than writing in the center of the pages. He even reproduced a Heavy Metal poster by Moebius as an invitation to a party and launched a comic strip in the school newspaper. He was deeply inspired by artists such as Chris Foss, Moebius, Druillet, Mézières, and Dalí. He spent years studying and copying the best, before starting out as a perspective illustrator for restaurant and bar designers, and then moving on to create his own projects. With the advent of more accessible personal computers, he mastered Softimage 3D, which allowed him to work in video games and then in film production. That’s when he began creating storyboards for Transfilm, and later for Hybride Technologies, as they began production on the film Sin City, adapted from Frank Miller’s comic book. Today, he creates storyboards for short and feature-length films, which he offers on platforms like Fiverr and Upwork. My god? …it’s full of stars!
