Author’s Graphic Novel

Teen, Adult

Cédric Loth began his career by becoming Canada’s youngest editorial cartoonist when he joined the newspaper Le Devoir in 1974. In the early 1980s, he turned his attention to comic books. In 1985, his graphic novel Atlantic City, written by Pierre Montour, became the first best-selling Quebec comic book. In 1983, Cédric joined the ranks of major advertising agencies as an art director, designer and creator of advertising campaigns, making his mark in the field. In 2001, he left that world to devote himself more to 3D animation, directing and freelance work. Believing it essential to stay abreast of the arts and nurture his creativity, Cédric pursues various artistic activities, including illustration, scriptwriting, animation and bronze sculpture. The recipient of numerous awards and accolades over the years, in 2019 he made a strong comeback to comics with Spray, published by Mosquito. Since then, he has been working on his next project, Le petit ramoneur de Québec, which begins its adventures at Moelle graphik with the album Misère noire.
