Val-Bleu studied cinema, literature and visual arts, only to realize that making comics is what she loves the most. Feminist, her books address social and relational themes, and have been strongly influenced by her many travels in India. In addition to her self-published comic books, she published Couennes Dures and Papillonie (in collaboration with Dwin Mitel) with Mecanique Generale and both  La Zone de l’amitié and Mina la brave with les editions du remue-menage.
