About Daniel Vardi
Daniel Vardi is a Brazilian comic book author, 3D animator and cultural entrepreneur based in Quebec. As the creator of the superhero group Time da Luz and the organiser of Brazil’s first superhero exhibition (2019), he works on developing projects that combine sequential art, education and innovation. He is the editor of the magazine Contos do Absurdo and co-creator of the horror character Toninho do Diabo. He also hosts the radio programme Almanaque Brasileiro on Radio Centre-Ville 102.3 FM in Montreal, where he promotes cultural exchanges between Brazil and Canada. A founding member of the Gibi-Québec (HQBD) collective, he also sits on the board of directors of the Raoul Barré Foundation, an organisation that pays tribute to Raoul Barré, a pioneer of animation and comics in Quebec.
