After ten years as a cultural coordinator at Fresnes Prison – where he worked to make culture more accessible to prisoners – he published Symphonie Carcérale: Short and Long Stories of Prison Concerts (2018), and Goodbye Ceausescu, a documentary road trip through post-communist Romania (2021), illustrated by Bouqé, followed by an adaptation of Sorj Chalandon’s novel, Le jour d’avant (2024), illustrated by Simon Géliot – all three published by Steinkis. Alongside his comic book writing, he runs comic book sessions and workshops for a variety of audiences (children, adults, secondary school pupils, marginalised groups, etc.).
