Lili/Aurélie Grand grew up at the foot of the French Pyrenees and studied illustration and graphic design in the hills of Vancouver’s North Shore. They love to step into their characters’ shoes, feel the textures of pencil and ink, and embrace the spontaneity of improvised drawing: this is how their illustrations come to life. Since 2009, they have worked primarily in publishing and children’s media on both sides of the Atlantic. After contributing to several collaborative comic books, such as the series Les Autres Gens (Delcourt) and Paris en BD (Bayard), their first self-published travel journal, Journal américain 2, was released in 2024 as part of their Grrraaand collection.
