Jacques Goldstyn has been the lead illustrator and cartoonist for Les Débrouillards magazine for over 40 years and for Les Explorateurs for nearly 25 years. He has received the Michael Smith Award for the Promotion of Science, has been a finalist twice at the Bédélys Québec awards, and helped the Les Débrouillards team win the Albert Chartier Award at the Festival de la bande dessinée francophone de Québec (2007). In 2023, he was awarded the title of Artist of Peace. He also won the 2017 Governor General’s Award for Azadah and the 2020 TD Award for Les étoiles. At Bayard Canada, in addition to his many albums featuring Van the Inventor and the Débrouillards gang, he has published Jules et Jim and Le prisonnier sans frontières.
