Born in Sherbrooke, Karine Gottot holds a diploma in teaching geography and history at secondary level. For some fifteen years, she worked closely with young people as an animator, educator and teacher. Now she's working as a children's author. Since 2010, she and Maxim Cyr have co-written the Les dragouilles collection, which combines absurdist humor with urban chronicles. Les dragouilles is a big hit with young readers, and the series has won several awards. In 2014, she teamed up with illustrator Mathieu Lampron to publish the first volume in the Les Mutamatak series.
