Born after the fall of the Berlin Wall in Agen, land of the musketeers, Xavier Bouyssou hesitated for a long time between camp-site animation, puppet theater and comics. After studying fine arts in Toulouse, then going to the Ecole Saint-Luc in Brussels, he had the chance to try his hand at both. Publishing hilarious comic strips on his Instagram account, he perfects his science of disguise come summer. In Toonzie, his first book, Xavier Bouyssou lends his features to a character of a failed comic book guru-author. With Le livre-Oracle, he reveals another facet of his personality, and makes comics the ultimate prophetic medium.
