About Myriam Bourgeois
Myriam Bourgeois is a melancholic comic book artist based in Montreal. Her work is intimate and introspective, exploring relationships, memory, and emotions. She enjoys drawing objects and places, which she uses to embody her inner world. She has been active in Montreal’s zine scene since 2013. Yesterday was a finalist for the 2023 Bédélys Awards in the Francophone Independent category. Her zines Hors saison (2023), L’écho et la cadence (2021), and Chez-soi (2015) were finalists for the Expozine Awards, and her book Quitter le rivage was part of the Fabriqué à Laval collection in 2018.
