About Myriam Bourgeois

Myriam Bourgeois is a melancholic comic book artist based in Montreal. Her work is intimate and introspective, exploring relationships, memory and emotions. She likes to draw objects and places that she uses to embody her inner world. She has been active in the Montreal zine scene since 2013. Hier was a finalist in the independent French-language category at the Bédélys 2023 awards. Her zines Hors saison (2023), L'écho et la cadence (2021) and Chez-soi (2015) were finalists at the Expozine awards, and her book Quitter le rivage was part of the Made in Laval collection in 2018.
