About Brian Yanish
Brian Yanish is an author-illustrator of books and comics for children. His books include the Shark and Bot young graphic novel series, Sweet and Sour, Pirate Chicken and Junk Re-Thunk. He has worked for Jim Henson Productions, trained as a special effects mold maker, and designed home furnishings and apparel for kids. He is the creator of ScrapKins®, a Recycled Arts STEAM program that inspires kids to create toys and inventions out of everyday junk. Brian presents workshops at schools and institutions across the United States and Canada and has even appeared on Sesame Street. He currently lives in Rochester, NY.
