Born in 1983, Catherine Gauthier spent her childhood in Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur, Montérégie. Initially studying visual arts and art history, she decided to specialize in graphic design. Since then, she has worked as a graphic designer in Montreal. Illustration remains her great passion, with graphite pencil as her medium of choice. Her practice is a poetic and personal interpretation of various contemporary themes, in the form of drawings and digital collages.
