About Shaghayegh Moazzami
Shaghayegh Moazzami was born in 1986 in Bojnurd, Iran. She studied painting at the University of Art in Tehran before turning to comics and visual storytelling. After immigrating to Canada in 2016, she worked as an editorial cartoonist with Persian-language media outside Iran. She lives in Montreal and has published three comic books. Her work explores themes of exile, memory, and resistance.
