Born in Normandy, Stéphane Lemardelé studied at the École des beaux-arts de Cherbourg. In 1995, he moved to Quebec and studied animation at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. His talent as an illustrator quickly earned him commissions for storyboards from renowned filmmakers. He is also the author of the graphic novels Wim Wenders’ Storyboard, The New Peasant World in Quebec, Simone Veil and Her Sisters: The Inseparables, and co-author of Queen Lil and the Women of Prohibition.
