Michel Viau lives in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Passionate about the ninth art, he has become the living memory of Quebec comics by writing several books on the subject. A lecturer at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, where he leads the scriptwriting workshop, he has also taught humorous writing for print media at the École nationale de l’humour. Since 2001, he has also worked in publishing. He has been editor-in-chief of the humour magazine Safarir, director of the comic book collections at Les 400 Coups, and editor of several projects for Glénat Québec and Station T. In addition to comics, Michel Viau is interested in history, and it is often there that he finds inspiration for his scripts. Oh yes… every day, he starts his day by reading a comic in the bath, much to the despair of his editor, who is waiting for him to finally get down to work.
