About Alex Nem
Alex Nem is a Montréal-based cartoonist who crafts minimalist, emotionally sharp comics about identity, connection, and the absurdities of modern life. His work glides between quiet introspection and oddball humour, rendered in spare black and white. At MCAF 2026, Alex presents his first work in book form, a mini-comic memoir about his late brother Nick Nemeroff (1989-2022) and his pursuit of stand-up comedy success.
