About Geneviève Bigué
Geneviève Bigué is an illustrator and comic book artist from Abitibi-Témiscamingue. After studying animation and completing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, she now works in a range of fields, including publishing, advertising and the cultural sector. In 2022, she published Parfois les lacs brûlent, her first comic book as an author. Her book has won several awards, including the 2023 Prix des libraires du Québec in the Comic Book category. It was also nominated for the 2023 Governor General’s Award in the Children’s Literature – Illustrated Books category.
