Miki Yamamoto

Miki Yamamoto is a Manga Artist and Assistant Professor, living near Tokyo. Her Manga Sunny Sunny Ann was translated in French and published from French Publisher Pika edition, May 2018. The book was received the 17th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Creative Award in Japan. She is a writer and illustrator of manga How Are You, which was selected for the 19th Japan Media Arts Festival Jury Selection, and a wordless picturebook A ribbon around a bomb. She taught as an assistant professor of Art and Design department at the University of Tsukuba, from 2016. She is also interested in (wordless) picturebooks, especially how images tell a story by themselves.  She joined the Lakes international comic art festival with Ken Niimura, 2017.
