About Denis Rodier

Denis Rodier began his career collaborating on such popular American series as Batman, Captain America and Star Wars, to name but a few. He made a name for himself with his work on Superman, particularly the award-winning story Death of Superman, whose album collection is still a best-seller in its category to this day. From 2008 onwards, he published almost exclusively with European publishers. With Soleil Éditions, he published L'Ordre des Dragons and L'Apogée des Dragons. With Dargaud, he publishes Arale, and with Glénat, he publishes the biography Lenin to mark the centenary of the Russian Revolution. With the same publisher, the graphic novel La bombe recounts the creation of the atomic weapon. Considered a bestseller of 2020, La bombe, which sold over 130,000 copies, won thirteen literary awards, including the Grand Prix de la critique 2020 and the Prix des libraires du Québec 2021. The album will also be translated into 17 languages, and a major production company has also expressed interest in adapting the comic into a TV drama series. In 2021, Rodier was inducted into the Canadian Comics Hall of Fame at the Joe Schuster Awards.
