About Geneviève Côté
Geneviève Côté has devoted herself primarily to children’s literature, after having contributed for many years to various North American publications, including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, and L’Actualité. She is the author (in English or French) of about ten picture books, including the Cochon & Lapin and M. Monsieur series, which have been translated and published in several languages and countries, Japan, Korea, Italy, and Denmark, among others. She co-wrote the screenplays for the television adaptation of the M. Monsieur series (The Remarkable Mr. King). Her work reflects a constant passion for communicating with her readers through images and words. Geneviève regularly leads creative writing workshops for children in Quebec and elsewhere. Her works have been recognized with awards including the Marilyn Baillie Award in 2012, the Governor General’s Award in 2007, and the Mrazik-Cleaver Award in 2005. Deuil et curiosités is her first graphic novel.
