About Léandre Ackermann

Born in Saignelégier in 1988, Léandre Ackermann lives in Courfaivre, Jura, where she also has her own studio. She regularly takes part in collective exhibitions and publications. In her comics, she alternates between a fluid narrative and a play on formal constraints, always paying particular attention to the gestures and attitudes of her characters. Following the publication of L'Odyssée du microscopique, based on a script by Olivier F. Delasalle (La Boîte à bulles, 2015), she helped organize the collective La bûche, culminating in the coordination of the special issue Les voix in 2021. She is co-president of the Swiss Comics Artists Association. To “make ends meet in the book chain”, she has also been a library assistant for over 10 years. Her latest publication, Fronde fiscale, tells the story of whistleblower Antoine Deltour. This documentary comic strip, written by Ferenc, was published in September 2023 by La Boîte à bulles.
