How to Get There<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By Public Transit<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The festival is near Laurier<\/strong>, Mont-Royal<\/strong>, and Sherbrooke<\/strong> metro stations. For direct access to the heart of the event, you can get off at Mont-Royal, but why not start your journey at Sherbrooke or Laurier and take in the entire route?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Bike<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

While the Express Bike Network (EBN) will be closed for safety reasons during the festival, cycling is still a great way to reach MCAF. Access is available via the Saint-Denis EBN from the north or south, or the bike paths on Rachel or Roy. Several Bixi stations<\/a> are also nearby. V\u00e9lo Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s website<\/a> offers maps for planning your route if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By Car<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

With several streets closed to cars, traffic on the Plateau\u2013Mont-Royal may be slower in late May. If driving is necessary, parking is available on nearby streets (mind the permit zones), and there are some nearby parking lots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessibility <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Reduced mobility<\/strong>
Although the festival site stretches over 1.2 km, all activity tents are easily accessible and grouped at the centre of the route, between Marie-Anne and Rachel streets. The comic arts promenade itself allows for easy movement along the pedestrianized Saint-Denis Street. Our volunteers will be happy to assist anyone who may need help, and spaces can easily be arranged to accommodate visitors using wheelchairs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two accessible drop-off zones have been set up near the route at the following addresses:
\u2013 362 Marie-Anne Street (east of Drolet)
\u2013 390 Gilford Street (west of Saint-Denis)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additional locations are available in the neighbourhood. We invite you to consult the City of Montreal\u2019s interactive map<\/a>. Simply click on the \u201ccirculation et stationnement\u201d drop-down menu and select \u201cD\u00e9barcad\u00e8re mobilit\u00e9 r\u00e9duite.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessible toilets and rest areas are available in each section of the festival. Temporary curb access ramps will be installed for the entire duration of the event to facilitate movement throughout the site. MCAF strives to be an inclusive and accessible event for everyone. Health, Safety and Eco-Responsibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Several sanitary stations will be set up throughout the festival site to ensure the comfort of all visitors. Located approximately every 120 metres along the route, there will be a total of ten installations. Each station includes standard toilets, a changing table, and at least one accessible toilet for people with reduced mobility. Hand-cleaning stations and small sinks will also be available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two first aid stations will be available at the Festival shops. Please refer to the site map for their exact locations. In case of emergency, do not hesitate to contact a member of the Festival team. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to choosing environmentally friendly transportation, you can help reduce your environmental impact during your visit with a few simple actions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prepare for a pleasant day by checking the weather and bringing what you may need: a hat, sunscreen, an umbrella, a light sweater, a reusable water bottle (which you can refill in the activity zone), and a reusable bag or backpack to carry your finds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adopt responsible habits by disposing of your waste in the designated sorting stations and by respecting the Festival\u2019s installations to ensure their sustainable use. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support the local economy and take advantage of your visit to Saint-Denis Street to discover a shop, caf\u00e9, restaurant, or bar in the neighbourhood. Consult the list of local businesses on the website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
