Rémy Simard was born in the last century in Roberval. He doesn't know yet his place of death. He was a poor mathematician and a poor Frenchman and decided to study political science. Also null in politics, it is by chance that Rémy Simard finds himself in the kingdom of books. A bit like Alice in Wonderland, a strange person told him: you can illustrate this book! He didn't even know what illustrating meant. In the early 80's, he took his colored pencils and his first drawings were published, if you can call them drawings. Since then, he hasn't had a minute to think about what he really wants to do in life. The book chose him. Illustrator, author, creator of comics, he founded his own publishing house: Les éditions du Kami-Case and then became director of the youth collections at the éditions du Boréal. He is an important cause of deforestation, more than one hundred titles published, some of them in 6 languages. At Editions de la Pastèque, he published the series Boris, Simone and his latest: Reine Babette.
