5 December 2020 12:00
We’re proud to announce that Expozine 2020 will take place as an interactive, live-streamed “virtual fair” on December 5 and 6, following readings and discussions held live on the web from December 1 – 4.
Expozine publishers will be presenting new titles through live-streaming during our “virtual fair”, where the public could interact, ask questions and comments through live-chat. There will also be a special new section of the Expozine website where the public could browse dozens of new publications and click through to order copies from the publishers and authors themselves.
A variety of literary readings, pre-recorded presentations and video visits to local bookstores will round out the web-streamed programming on December 5 and 6 from noon to 6 pm online.
Also set for web-streaming are:
Wednesday, 7:30 pm: A discussion between poet Erin Mouré and author Michael Nardone about Mouré’s decades of practice, with a look back at her participation in the mid 1980s Dial-A-Poem Montreal project.
Thursday, 7:00 pm: Comics / BD : Pow Pow and Conundrum Press on bilingual publishing in Canada, moderated by artist Kate Lavut.
Friday, 8 pm : Literary Soirée + Allo-Poèmes – Dial-A-Poem MTL launch: poets and authors will read recent works in English and French, and Expozine will unveil its new project for the pandemic: the relaunch of Fortner Anderson’s Dial-A-Poem MTL (Allo-Poèmes), a new service whereby the public could hear new poems every week in English and French by telephone!
